Bargain hunting for FRINGE!

So lately I've been obsessed with finding a fringe bag that is both adorable and made of quality material, that won't fall apart after a weeks worth of use. I first noticed the JJ Winters bag line, which inspired me to find one of similar style.

Here's an oversized suede fringe bag by JJ Winters that runs for about $500. You can find it here at singer22.com for $473.

But for those of us who can't unload that kind of cash on a bag, I am here to try and find an affordable option! You're welcome ladies. ;)

So I scoured the shops and here are the contendors I came up with:

1. AEO Fringed Bag, $34.99 at americaneagleoutfitters.com

2. Cleobella Electra Fringe Bag, $123 at shopplanetblue.com

3. Billabong Forever Fringe Bag, $54 at swell.com

To help add a personalized touch to these bags try adding a keychain like this one from Planet Blue, only $26 at shopplanetblue.com:

~Designer Spotlight~

As August officially comes to a close, I am still not quite ready to give up my summer. Living in Seattle, summer has been almost nonexistent. I think we've had sun for about the last 4 weeks (with plenty of clouds mixed in) and its already starting to dissappear...:( So I've been planning a trip to the hot and sunny AZ in about a month and I will be giving you plenty of information on my pics for my late summer wardrobe. I do have to say, the one bonus to having late summers... are the discounts!!

I wanted to highlight an up and coming designer that I recently discovered, and have fallen in love with. Her swimsuit line Boys and Arrows, offers perfectly constructed swimwear that will look good on all body types. Not to mention the styles are gorgeous! Its hard not to feel sexy when wearing one of her swimsuits. They are definitely not cheap, but I think the saying "you get what you pay for" could not be more appropriate here! Anyways, I'll shut up and show you some pics from her lookbook:

Must have item for your spring wardrobe!!

Two words... Cropped - Pants. I know you're probably thinking to yourself, "who cares? You seen those every season!" And trust me, I completely agree. This isn't exactly some earth shattering trend, but the outfits that I've seen on the runways are so friggin' adorable! It seems like every designer has included cropped pants in their spring 2011 line. So start keeping an eye out for cropped pants in the stores and magazines because I guarantee you'll start seeing them everywhere.

It's still too cold to wear crop pants but the clothing stores should be stocking them soon. One store already has a pretty good selection, Net-a-Porter.com. Check it out if you're interested in seeing some of the outfits they've put together. It'll help give you some inspiration for updating your wardrobe for the spring.

Cropped pants are something you see every single year, but the designers seem to be focusing pretty heavily on this style of pant for the Spring. And who can blame them! Cropped pants paired with mid-height heels, a sexy top and cropped jacket gives you the perfect day outfit that allows you to still look sexy without being trashy.

Check out some of the outfits from designer Balmain whose Spring 2011 I'm basically obsessed with:

Pick of the day

Leather clothing was predicted as a hot popular trend for Fall and Winter 2010 and designers have not dissapointed. Leather leggings have become especially hot this season, seen on everyone from people on the streets to models behind the camera. Authentic leather leggings are running on average, about $1,000. So for the rest of us (aka 99.9% of the population), who can't afford that price tag, there are some very affordable and equally fabulous alternatives. That is why my pick for today is this pair of wax pencil jeans from J Brand.

What's great about this pair of jeans is that they have that leather look to them but they're also a little toned down so you can wear them in more casual situations. Personally, I see myself pairing these with some boots and a loose tee. J Brand is a really popular brand among the celebrities and they are pretty reasonably priced. These jeans are on sale at Shopbop.com for $198.00.

Unlike some of the other trends this season, leather doesn't seem to be going anywhere. You'll be able to wear these throughout 2011 and that's why they're such a great investment. Even if you can't justify to yourself purchasing a $200 pair of jeans, there a many cheaper versions of faux leather leggings out there and they won't be too hard to find.
